My spouse subscribed to Golf Magazine for awhile and then chose not to renew it. When he didn't renew, as expected, the magazine stopped coming...BUT, the magazine, through a company called "National Credit Audit Corporation," has threated to take collection action because they claim my spouse "promised" to get the magazine again. This is ridiculous...when a subscription runs out, it runs out...there are no promises and this is the same as UNORDERED MERCHANDISE. We greatly resent these deceptive and intimidating business practices and Golf Magazine has lost a customer for good. We won't even buy this magazine from the newstand now.

What's more, this is the third subscription problem we've had of this type in the last four years...it seems to be a pattern now, when a magazine doesn't like it that customers choose not to renew. Each time we had to send certified letters and waste a lot of our time to get these mazines and newspapers to stop harassing us. We are not going to subscribe to any publications anymore if this is the new trend in trying to get you to renew. What part of "NO" don't these jerks get? What is wrong with corporate America that a person can't do something as simple and innocent as subscribe to a publication, then decide not to renew, without it becoming a big damned deal???
