Complaint Review: First National Credit(TM)

Looks like I was duped, too! Received, on 11/05/01, UNsolicited application for "guaranteed approval for a First National Credit(TM) Gold Card with a Credit Line of $15,000. ...This is not a 'maybe'. ... include your on-time only $37.00 membership fee. ...provides a 30-day money back guarantee for membership fee." Did NOT investigate (duh!!!) and sent check same day. Cancelled check arrived with Monthly Bank Statement on 11/16/01; no "gold card" received by same date. So, started hunting on Internet and, gosh, was I surprised and disappointed to find a veritable plethora of complaints and negative testimonials about this "offer" (a.k.a., SCAM !!!). As I can find no valid phone number for this "company" (bogus front??) and my check has already been cashed, guess that's it for me. BUT, perhaps my experience will help someone else avoid being similarly duped. Hope so!!!
