I terminated my lease with Savannah at Park Place and had a remaining balance of $211.  Unfortunately, I did not get the notice of a balance due until well after my account was forwarded to NCS for collections.  I've had three interactions with NCS, all of which have been deplorable.  NCS employees the most ignorant people possible - they are rude, hostile, talk over you and it's nearly impossible to have a civil conversation to get anything done.  I spoke to a manager, Michael Cooper, in hopes of bringing to his attention my experience with the other two representatives and to also make him aware that I've paid my balance - perhaps he could assist???  This man was useless... I was made to feel like I was wasting HIS time and rushed to get through my "speech".  No wonder he works at a collection agency, for an hourly wage, in College Park, GA!

Not only was he rude, refused to listen, was condescending, but eventually hung up on me - this experience was also the same with everyone...and all over $211???  I then had to call my apartment complex, provide them with proof of payment and ask them to resolve on my behalf, because I could get no anywhere with this people.  We'll see where that gets me.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB and CFBP.  I get that they are a collection agency but being 1)abrasive, rude, abusive, condescending 2) not willing to resolve outstanding balances when a customer is telling you they've paid and has proof and last 3) leaving threatening message on your voicemail.

Again, I've paid my balance, so unsure why I wasn't given credit despite mailing to the address and referencing the account no. provided by the first ignorant imbecile I spoke.  Note, she refused to provide her first name, but preferred to be called "Ms. ".

I am continuing to fight this and will not allow NCS to report this to the credit bureau as they have a history of not resolving these sorts of complaints based on all of the complaints online.

I'm surprised that property mgt companies and landlords use them - they are not leaders in collecting unpaid balances, but leaders in unscrupulous collection practices and people pay them to avoid a negative mark on their credit, not because they are so good and making amicable payment arrangements with a former resident.
