National Fitness Financial Systems, World Gym Ripoff Layton Utah
My husband and I signed a two year gym membership contract. The monthly dues were to be charged on our credit card every month. The gym closed for business over two months ago. My husband was able to cancel his membership before the facility closed and I was not.
When World Gym closed for business, National Fitness Financial Systems sent a letter stating that all memberships were being transferred to a different gym. The contracts we signed clearly state that if the gym relocates within a five mile radius our membership would continue. The contract also states that if the location goes out of business, which was the case with World Gym, our membership would be cancelled and we would be entitled to a prorated amount.
They continue to charge my credit card on the 15th day of each month even though I have called and faxed them letting them know that they were to no longer charge my credit card. I have contacted my credit card company disputing the charges. When I spoke to a customer service representative at National Fitness Financial Systems they informed me that if the charges were disputed they would send it to a collection account.
