I was an Employee of National Food Corp of Everett Washington. In November 2003 I was hit while at work by a drunk driver. I had neck surgery a few months later and tried to go back to work.

I thought the company was going to be fair to me and would try and help me, Instead they insisted i get back into a truck and Deliver freight to stores. My doctor at the time had me under a lifting restriction of 30 lbs. National food expected me to lift Pallets and Unload stacks of food. When i approached my Supervisor Ron Gerla on Dec 30 2004 and told him i was having trouble doing my route and that it hurt he just ignored me.

Instead I got a certified letter saying if I didint show up and do my route that i was FIRED. My employer National food kept thier word they fired me. I saw a new Doctor In texas (after i moved from Washington because the cost of living is much cheaper there and i have 6 children and on top of that during all this my daughter fell victim to sexual abuse)

The doctor in Texas said i needed to have a plate put into my neck with screws. My employer refused to pay me workers comp for 2 months and threw a fit so they sent me to 3 independant medical examinations, ALL 3 of these/thier doctors said I was in NO condition to be working as a delivery driver and that surgery was what I needed.

National Food still refused to pay me. I dont understand how a company can disregard a human person such the way National food did. NONE of this was my fault and the drunk driver was convicted.

On top of that Brian Bookey Kevin Bookey and Jeff Black knew I was having a very hard time in my life (being hit by this lady and the Rape of my 13 yr old daughter). THEY had no regard for me and or my family.

If National Foods cares about there own Employees this way, do you really think they care about the customers? National Food is Basically a Trader Joe's delivery holding warehouse but they are not the same company. Im sure Trader Joes would NEVER treat one of thier own that way.

I have since (about 3 weeks ago) had whats called a 360 fusion surgery with Plates and screws in my neck, Im hurting really badly and em now told that they think i have a seperate injury (that was thought to be related to my neck) but in my shoulder.

National Food has treated me like i have done something wrong ever since the night of this accident. I just dont understand how a company or should i say Human beings can treat another Human being like this. To date this company still owes me 2 and half months of workers comp pay totaling about 4000.00.

I just want people to know what kind of company they are supporting when they buy National Food Eggs

Again I am the one who reported this company, In my last post I said I wanted to apologize to Natl and the people I included in my report. Kevin, Brian, Jeff, Natl and Trader Jo, I really am sorry for the posting I put on here, At the time I posted my complaint it was during the time that we were bickering about that time loss for those two months.

I was overwhelmed finically and was very angry for this enitre situation I was in and I was hurting very badly. again I apologize to you all and hope that you will accept my apology.

I also want the public to know that Natl and the people I included in my report are good folks, Nothing in my report should be taken as if I was a customer and they hadnt treated me right. Quiet the contrary, YES I dont work for them now, BUT they do stress GOOD customers relations.

I also would like to say that the Justin that added his comments to my post was just a freind of mine and he had really no knowledge except for what I had told him.

The public should NOT take my entire report on this company or any of the indivuals reported as a reason to NOT do bussiness with them. Natl food does strive to satifie there customers and I was just having a very hard time in my life.

Removal of my complaint, National has and is treating me right

I am the one who reported this company, I was very angry when i made this report. Its NOT National's fault this happend to me. Todate National and the people included in my report have been trying very hard to work with me and do whats best for me. I am 38 years old and now I am going on a pension because of the lady that hit me.

I guess I owe national food an apology, I am sorry! this has been VERY hard on me and my family. I think people need to stop and think BEFORE they drink and drive, The point is that you can hurt or even worse kill someone!

National Food does not care about: Drivers/Employees. The only way they care about a person is if they are related to the Bookey's family. I truly dont see how this company stays in Busniness.If it was'nt for the Trader Jo's account they have they would be finished. I have pesonally been to the Yelm farm, I have seen all the rats that are running around. I truly stay away from thier Food product's. (and that means NOT buying Trader Jo products)

I would suggest that you do some checking I know for a fact that Natl Food has treated other Employees the way you have been treated. I would suggest a CLASS ACTION lawsuit against this company. I hope you get to feeling better and my prayers are with you and your daughter.

Dont let such a bunch of idiots (Bookey's) get your spirits down, If I can help with a Class Action let me know? I would be glad to come forward. And your right if a company cant care about themselves, they cant care about thier customers.
