My husband and I attended a conference and were convinced by National Grant Conferences (NGC) that we qualify for "free money" or grants from the Government to assist us with our business. We had to submitt a business plan. However, once we submitted the business plan it was returned to us with comments from a counselor that was assigned to us with notes on changing the business plan completely.

We had hired a business consultant and made several trips to our accountant in order to prepare the business plan. However, according to the counselor at NGC that business plan required a lot of changes.

When we tried getting in touch with the counselor after receiving the busines plan back, the seemed to have disappear. We left numerous messages and emails and never heard back from him.

Now I have written a letter to the president of National Grants and requested my money back. We'll see what the out come is.

Don't be fooled by National Grant Conferences. They have politicians adveristing the conferences with Suzanne Wang from HGTV's House Hunter's Show.

They portray themselves as if they are the Government and not a private organization. They have really good actors at the conferences who get you to "think outside the box" in order to get your money from you for something that may have happed to people by luck or chance. Plus if these people know how to obtain money from teh government, then why are they sharing their secret with all of us. Why not keep the wealth to themselves.

Please beware of this scam.
