These people need their asses sued completely off! They are charging me for someone else’s electricity usage and told me it’s my responsibility to settle the matter with the dude who put the electric on in my name! These clowns are unreal, man! I’m literally calling lawyers. I'm pretty sure the landlord used my rental application info to put the utilities on in my name with and refused to let the guy in the house to turn it off after I found out. Now National Grid billed me for it in my new apt, and says that I need to find a civil resolution with the landlord on my own. :O I asked where can I read about your dispute policy procedures and did all the work to give them the papers they needed while they did NOTHING but send me more disconnect notices, and they said the proof of residency needs to be a lease or notarized statement from the (guy who used my i.d.)landlord. So, they hung up on me after I kept asking for what other documents I could use in lieu of a lease while they kept denying there were any other documents that would be accepted. Someone PLEAASSEE SUE THESE JACKOFFS! >:(

The Public Utility Commission Keeps National Grid in Line

It's like a miracle sent from heaven after calling the PUC. The whole situation was resolved in under 3 hours while the executives worked a solution out after being contacted by the PUC. National grid's entire demeanor changed like night and day. If your utility company ever tries to jerk you around just mail them the correct documentation and call the PUC to let them know you are holding up your end, and PRESTO! Everything magically seems to fall right into place. Its a shame we cant produce our own electricity or even have the choice to pick from more than one company to deliver it.0
