All started in March 2008, when I received the offer letter to join this club. They lure people by offering free merchandise to try and to keep.

I was tempted and I reply, willing to find out more details about it.

Then I went online and I was trying to find out more from there. In order to find out, you need to subscribe. When I was trying to subscribe, I found out their web-site didn't work properly. Certain links were not working, including the JOIN one and I found myself forced to subscribe for this magazine that they were advertising as being a free issue, and if you are satisfied with it you can get a full subscription.

I never received any magazine, I was frustrated with the web-site and I decided it was not worth trying, as I am a busy person and I don't have time but for professional services. Also, I received a second letter that contained the papers to complete in order to join their club. Reading that letter I realized that the free merchandise was not quite free, reduced to one object per year, and for that one object you had to buy a lot of books in "club system".

I decided I am really NOT interested in the deal, that they are not professionals, and they are just a book club, interested in selling you non-professional, general-knowledge health books, that are way below my health and medical education. Besides, everything was done in a non-professional manner.

I didn't reply to their subscription papers and I forgot about the whole matter until yesterday, September 12th, when I received a very disturbing letter.
In this letter I am given the status of DELINQUENT and I am announced that I owe the company $24.00 membership due payment. I am also announced that a COLLECTION AGENCY will be sent my way.

It is not an overstatement when I say I was shocked.
Then I went from shocked to furious.

I know I don't owe anything to this company, because they didn't send me any product. And I was wondering how is it possible in modern America for such companies to survive.

So am I to expect the Collection Agency to harass me for owing something to a company that never sold me anything?

Next step is to find a lawyer.

I just wanted to point out, to whomever is going to verify before acting, that NO decent company is employing such agressive methods unless they are really desperate to get naive people into their spider-webs.
