National Health Care Discount Deprived Pay and Used A Lack Of Transparency to Rip Off Workers Work at home scams Overland Park Kansas
I saw your Bad Business Bureau article on this and wanted to comment. I, too, was scammed by NHCD.
I was trying to avoid the scams so common in the work-at-home business and decided to give this a try. I worked for hours, being told that I would get bonuses for completing a certain number of calls. Those bonuses never came in. I paid a $75.00 dollar security deposit, being told that I would have my money returned after I made 500 calls. Actually, it was 500 calls that were of a certain length. I was even told that the "phone company's records" (of course, records never disclosed to me, so I was being asked to take it at their word) showed that I had made less than 200 calls, a patent absurdity. I had logged in far more than that in the online database, yet no one bothered to say "By the way, that'd be fradulent if you called X number and reported Y larger number..." I never got one check, did not make one sale, and didn't back my $75.
I think NHCD should be shut down and be forced to pay double the amount they've stolen from hundreds of employees like myself. I read my contract carefully and stuck to it to a tee; they violated it. A class-action lawsuit would be in order.
