I received a call yesterday from these people offering $2000 unsecured VISA credit card for $299 to help people with bad credit re-establish good credit. I had been applying for credit cards so I thought it was probably one of the banks I had applied to.

After giving him my info and being sent to verification the service rep added on that I would be receiving a digital cam, health insurance, and a vacation package. He should have quit while he was ahead because then I knew it was a scam.

I immediately closed my checking account and opened a new one. Then I called them again to ask for the business name again and they gave me a different name. So I went online to see what has been reported about this business. Scam artists. Luckily I caught them before it was to late.

I do not understand how they got my name address and cell # except that maybe they had a website pretending to be a credit card company for people with bad credit. Also they ask when you get paid and if it is a direct deposit. Luckily I told them the first which is not even true so I had the window of opportunity to close out my account.
