Rip-off Report Investigation:

Editor's UPDATE: Positive Rating and Recognition has been given to The National Healthcareer Association for its Commitment to Excellence in customer service.

Rip-off Report's review of The National Healthcareer Association shows an Organization commitment to the Allied Healthcare professional and the delivery of Quality Patient Care . The organization that has been Certifying Allied Healthcare professionals for nearly 20 years(established in 1989) with over 200,000 certified(the largest allied Health care certification agency in the country) makes a 100 % commitment to helping the Allied Healthcare professional move ahead with their career. National Healthcareer Association Certified Allied healthcare professionals can feel comfortable that the organization will always work towards finding a satisfactory resolution to any concerns, As a sign of their pledge, The National Healthcareer Association has recently created a sub department within their Quality control department called The Compliance Department, this department will help Certified Allied Healthcare professionals be able to clarify to employers or future employers what expertise the professional has accomplished by passing the National Certification Exam. The compliance department is our way to show the value of the Allied healthcare professional helping them every step of the way
An NHA executive told us recently.

NHA has made a obligation to educating industry about the development and the implementation of their certification exams proving that each certification is evaluated by subject matter teams representing each part of the allied healthcare arena (educators, employers, professionals )working in Clinics, Hospitals, Doctors offices and Private labs and education across the country.
Then each exam question is banked and nominated on by subject matter team members and the final evaluation goes to a Psychometrican, who supports the validity of the exams once that is complete the exam is then published. It doesn't sound like a simple process and it isn't. National Healthcareer Association is adding new Healthcareer titles and has committed to the fact as they added more and new Certification exams they must always need to spend more time making sure that all healthcare organizations and industry are aware of their mission. Another way NHA has improved this is by the development of Health Career Connect Magazine TM that is distributed to Health Career Training Organizations, The Allied Healthcare professional and The Health care industry. It's our best way of communicating our mission and integrity said one Organization Executive. www.hccmag.com another way is reviewing the organizations that approve and recognize them on their web site www.nhanow.com (under Recognitions and Approvals)

We have confirmed that The National Healthcareer Association approach includes a total quality assessment. The result of which, leads to continual devotion to a quality exam development process and educating the healthcare education industry on changes and forecasts in the ever growing world of Allied Health care.We was pleased to learn that the organization past and current approach to business is focused on its pledge to total commitment towards Industry satisfaction.

It is our opinion that Allied Healthcare professionals and industry can feel confident in the fact that The National Healthcareer Association has worked with thousands of Health care professionals and health care training organizations(including the Federal Government, state agencies, US Military) through out the world. They are innovators in their field and have successfully helped the many training organizations, individuals and Industry with the ultimate goal of higher quality patient care.
We are convinced that the organization has been and is committed to quality delivery of services resulting in total Industry satisfaction. In summary, after our review, which included discussions with NHA Senior Management.

National Healthcare Association (or Associates) Health Insurance FRAUD!!! Do NOT trust these people!!! Sioux Falls South Dakota

To all the self-employed who need health insurance, or anyone who needs insurance-please, please, please read my report! My husband is self employed & I am a full-time student so health insurance is very costly for our family.

We (my husband & I ) received information regarding full coverage health insurance for a very decent monthly premium. Of course I am skeptical, but choose to inquire. I had previously worked for four years as a health insurance coder & biller so I knew what questions to ask.

Here is the info I received: for $369 per month; full coverage health insurance for family no deductible--only office visit copay of $25 & everything else is covered 100%--even ER visits. Also included were, yearly physicals, RX's, dental, vision, surgery, & much more & this was the final day to enroll with no physical exam. I still am skeptical & drilled this agent many, many questions & the smooth talker answered every one to my satisfaction.

I even questioned how this monthly premium could cover our family @ 100%. He stated that large, prominent businesses within our state & other states set a yearly goal ($$ wise) that they want to make. Any amount over that goal is donated to the state to help fund insurance for people that need it.
After many more questions & comments (I had this guy on the phone for almost an hour) I agreed to this policy.

Please know that I am not an ignorant consumer..I had dealt with insurances 1,000's of times & knew what to inquire about. These people sound sooo convincing & know your desired answer!! This agent recevied all of our info, including bank account for automatic premium deduction, and SS #'s. The agent explained when we would get our cards and information packet within a week & wished me a good day.

Okay--this company said they were affiliated with "Beech Street Coroporation" Insurance -which is a very respectable company. I was on the "Beech Street" website looking for doctors that were in network & couldn't find any of my family doctors. (The agent I spoke with assured me all or our MD's were in network-I did ask) So I phoned Beech Street directly to inquire.

Beech Street Corp. had NEVER heard of this company. I gave them all the info that National Healthcare Assoc. had given me & there was absolutly NO info in their database regarding that company. The Beech Street agent was very friendly & helpful and also warned me that there had been fraudgulent activity with health insurance advertisement & these people were using their company name in association. She gave me some phone #'s to contact & instructed me to contact my bank immediatly to put out a fraud alert.

So I call the National Healthcare company back to question their integrity--& guess what, no one would answer the phone--ever! This happened repeateldy. No one will answer. I did a little investigating, and the address that is given for the company does not exist and I also found out some other distressing things. Luckily, we got ahold of our bank in time & changed our account #'s so no money was taken out.

Now, recall when I stated that the agent told me we would receive an info. packet with cards and papers. This was supposed to come within 1 week. 6 weeks later, we received that packet and guess what?? This supposed insurance is NOT insurance at all and even states this in the paperwork. It is a discount health PLAN meaning the company only pays a portion of your bill.

Let me put some info. in here that is directly from this packet: General Physician Office Visit--Copay of $25; Company pays $50 toward visit with maximum of 6 visits per year. Now let me spell that out for you all--the office I formally worked for charged $79 for a general visit. Now, with this plan, you're paying a $25 copay that does not go toward your total bill--the plan pays $50, so you are stuck paying the remainder $29 plus that copay. Another example is an ER visit--you pay $25 copay & the plan pays $50-you are responsible for the rest. Anyone who has been to the ER knows that $50 is pocket change when compared to the rest of your bill.

This is a RIP OFF!! You are paying almost $400 monthly for nothing--you get a tiny, worthless discount & end up paying the rest. This is NOT HEALTH INSURANCE!!! I have everything written down from this company & over the phone, everything was advertised as full-coverage health insurance. This is not even remotely close to the truth. Thank goodness I found this out early. Some people may not be aware of this & go about their doctor visits thinking that this is health insurance & they are covered--NOT THE CASE!!

These people are scammers and low-life scumbags who prey upon the vulnerable. Please read this and learn from our misfortune--don't believe these companies that advertise low premiums for full-coverage health insurance. This report is condensed & I have ALOT more negative info regarding this company.

Please investigate before you commit to anything. As I have learned...If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!!
