I got this letter in the mail it reads "important document read immediately,

Once you open it says "Dear ******
We are trying to reach you regarding your $1,000,000.00
Sweepstakes ID # **********. Please call us at the above number. This is a free call.

Sincerely - Pat Haines, Sales Representative

Now when I called them they tried to make me give my Id number to them and the only way you can get removed from their company is to call the 800 number and ask them for the number for customer service. If you do manage to give them your Id number they'll continue to send you their sweepstakes in the mail, try to brute force you into buying their magazines and sell your information to other companies.

I found a site here that will tell you, you're rights and information on how to keep your privacy and get off these mailing lists. It has the CRA (Consumer reporting agency) or aka credit bureaus. And all the information needed including your rights.

Good luck.
