National Magazine Exchange consumer fraud ripoff deceptive company the business that doesnt give a dam Clearwater Florida
I recently started recieving magazines in my name at my address that I never ordered. They were "Spin", "Jane", and "Golf" then I recieved a bill for $112.00 from National Magazine Exchange. I called them and said I didn't order them. I was told that Yes I had ordered them and it was verified by recording or something.I again told them I didn't order them and was told well , someone living there said they were you and ordered them. I was then hung up on. Twice after that I called and was put on hold after I gave my name. After sitting on hold for 20 min. I hung up.
Since then I have sent 4 letters to them stating that I will not pay for these magazines and to cancel the subscriptions. I Hate Golf, and only listen to Country music, classical, opera and celtic. The magazines ordered are not anything I would even buy at a news stand, so why would I spend $112 for them. I am upset that they do not care that there has been a mistake made and if someone else ordered these I have not found out who it is. I want the magazines stopped and the bill canceled.

Eileen,
Are you sure someone in your household didn't call in and use your name to order the magazines?
From the magazine choices it might be a daughter.
Here's the Customer Service Dept 1-800-235-3623.
If it was your daughter or any minor they can cancel the contract by calling Customer Service.
Another point worth mentioning, when you order magazines with NME you have Reader's Exchange Program privilenges. This means you can call Customer Service and change which magazines you are receiving at no additional cost. Try it.
