National Magazine Exchange Kept adding new magazine subscriptions and extending subscriptions despite my objections. Conversations were taped, but I when hesitated or object, the tape apparently was turned off. Conned into buying magazines despite objections. Clearwater Florida
The National Magazine Exchange called me mostly when I was sleeping. That probably was one reason I was conned into buying magazines I didn't want. One representative called me and told me wasn't obligated to purchase anything. He then told me that in return for entering NME's sweepstakes, my subscriptions were extended. I didn't want to enter the sweepstakes.
Whenever I would hestitate, or object to adding magazines or extending subscriptions, I heard a click. The caller, sometimes Pat Haines, said the calls were taped, but when I heard a click, I suspected the tape was turned off to hide evidence. I continued to received sweepstakes notices from Pat Haines for months, but I would not call NME again.
