National Magazine Exchange ripoff theft fraudulent billing consumer rip-off fraud Clearwater Florida
I recieved a bill from NME stating that I owed three payments of $17.16. It stated that the first was due 7/30/03. The money was taken out of my bank account on 7/21/03.
First of all, I did not order anything from them. It may not seem like much, but I have a very low income and need everything I can get. Please help.

I have used the NME many times, they are always kind on the phone, and they call me about 1 time a year to renew or sell me another set of mags. One time They realy pressured me into 6 diffrent mags with the promise that i could change my mind.
Well when i got a big bill i did. They said that they could not cancel the orders because they where a 2nd party, and the people whom pub the mags can not be called. I just said " I got pressured in to this , and I cant afford it", I never recived another bill, and the mags keep't on comming. It is not on my credit, Its been 2 years.
I have a new subscription with them, and they are always nice on the phone.
Try giving them a call.
