In March, 2009, I received a call from National Merchant Solution, Inc. asking for an opportunity for them to save us money on credit card merchant service. We set up a meeting on March 10, 2009 in our store in Irving, Texas. Their sales representative, Timothy Boyd showed up in our store and explained to me how he and his company can save us a big buck on the credit card merchant service. Since we had several bad experiences with other companies, I asked Timothy Boyd to write down what he can offer.

He wrote down Debit/Credit rate : 1.35% (our present rate is 1.69%), transaction fee per credit card is $0.10. (ours is 0.25), $5.00 statement fee, no contract, no annual fee, FREE EQUIPMENT W/CHECK PROCESSOR, FREE SUPPLIES. He said our present company is charging us $0.25/debit card transaction that he can help us to save because there will not have any transaction fee for debit card transaction. Since he is able to write down everything and promised if we want to cancel the service, all we need to do is to send the terminal back and we will not have any obligation, I let him come back on March 14, 2009 and have the paper work done.

When he asked me to sign some of the documents, I found out there is something about the lease of the equipment. I immediately told him that there should not have any lease and we will not lease the equipment since he told me the equipment is free. He ensured me that it is not a lease, it is just a document that I have to sign so that he can inform their company to dispatch the equipment. I found out that he added the term and lease amount on that paper afterward. There was no term and lease amount on the paper when I signed the paper!!

He did not leave me any copies that I have signed even I asked him that day. He said I can call their office in two days to ask for it. Finally, I received a package from his company National Merchant Solution, Inc. which contains a terminal and a key pad but without any papers that I signed. On March 29, 2009 I received a mail from them with some copies. At that time, I found the lease agreement with 48 months term and $79.99/month on it. I called the customer service and asked for explanation. They told me there is a lease that is NONCANCELLABLE. I was shocked. I asked them if they can have Timothy Boyd call me. Timothy Boyd did not call me. Instead, he sent me an email and he denied everything he told me in our store. He said he had explained to me both time we met about the lease agreement , term ,and monthly fee. That had never happened.

On March 14, 2009, I received a statement from RBS WorldPay (the actual credit card processing company), the rate and charges are completely different and higher than the rate Timothly Boyd told me. In fact, he had never gave me any official documents showing what rate this company going to charge us. I called the customer service of RBS WorldPay regarding the termination, they said I will have to pay over $400 for early termination. Now I am trapped.

I was so disappointed by the way Timothy Boyd conducts his business. He lied at the very beginning when we met, he lied when he prepared the paper works, and he lied afterward. We are a small business, every dime are matter to us. We cannot tolerant such business to trade with us unfairly like this. THIS IS A SCAM. BEWARE!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

We also have had the unfortunate business of dealing with National Merchant Solutions. We were told we were signing a lease on the equipment, but were told by Daniel Fontaine that there was no contract on the processing from RBS. Now, we're being told by RBS that we are locked into a contract with them for 3 years and it will cost us $400 to cancel the contract. We're a large wholesaler and we run many of our customers credit cards at the end of the month for their entire balance. Those monthly balances run from $5000 to $15000 or more depending on what time of year it is and their purchases for the month. When Daniel came out, I gave him a years worth of our credit processing statements from our current company and we talked about how much our transactions are for and how we do business. Shortly after we started processing with RBS, we had them call us because they couldn't process one of our credit card transactions because it was for more than our "$1500 limit." When I asked why on earth we would have such a low limit, they said that's the way Daniel set the account up. I emailed Daniel (the only way I've ever been able to reach him) and he said he would get it taken care of. Yesterday, I found out that nothing had been corrected and another batch had been held. I finally got RBS to raise us to $5000 per transaction, but they won't raise us any further without us giving them our P&L and other financial paperwork. They said this wouldn't have been necessary if Daniel had not set the limit at $1500 when he opened our account. We've never had this problem with any of our other processors in the past. We've never had to provide a P&L or be put through all of this trouble. Daniel will not return my emails and my phone calls haven't been returned yet either.

JULIE SEEM is not telling the whole story. Let me explain. I am Timothy Boyd, Senior Account Executive for National Merchant Solutions. Funny thing is I always told Julie she could research our company on this site to look and see that we're not listed here and she goes and make's a false report. First off, I would like to say that our company has an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau. We have an "A" because we're a well know and highly respected processing company. I myself have been doing this for years with well over 1,000 merchants under my belt but, like with anything you can't make everyone happy.

Here's the true story... I met with Julie Seem 3/14/2009 at our FIRST appointment. She said that she wanted some time to think it over and review the information I gave her. I said ok no problem. A couple weeks later she called me back, as she stated she did in her original report and said let's do paperwork, meaning she wanted to sign up. I typed up the application, which 100% all of our apps our typed up (we carry mini portable printers) and met her at her location. Julie had a terminal that wasn't compatible with our company because of how old it was and she had to get a lease for a new terminal, a lease that was explained to her and presented to her in a TYPED OUT APPLICATION. Julie signed the merchant receipt form, The lease agreement, The D & A form which list a NON-CANCELABLE LEASE. Her situation was after she signed up she decided to tell her husband about it later on. He said that he didn't want to switch, So Julie called and tried to cancel her lease, a lease that she knew was non-cancelable and deny the whole thing ever took place. Then she went as far as to say she doesn't even remember me coming to her location. I mean she made up a new story every time she called into my office. I tried to assist her but, she began yelling at me cause her husband was mad at her. I gave her awesome pricing and her way of saying thank you was going to RIPOFFREPORT.COM
I have hundreds of merchant referrals who will say otherwise. I never lie about anything I tell a merchant. it's unfortunate that she made an adult informed decision but wants to blame everyone else about it.
