National Moving Network (NMN) estimated on paper for our 4 hour move from New York to Washington DC: $1430 all inclusive; Guaranteed delivery: 1st November;
On moving day, the movers inspected our belongings, and confirmed that the estimate is accurate and it would take 2-3 hours. It took 8 hours, after which we were told the charge will be $7000-8000. We called NMN, who told us the movers are actually a different company, Classic International, and that NMN have no more responsibility.

We showed our written contract to the movers, who said that it's a NMN contract, and Classic International does not adhere to it. After fighting 2 hrs, the charge was $4200, 3 times the estimate. We had to accept, since it was 10 pm, and we had nowhere to sleep and no belongings.

On 2nd Nov, truck arrived, we were forced to pay in full in cash before unloading started. After 2 hrs, they announced 1/2 our shipment is missing, and refused to return 1/2 our money. On Nov. 4th (today), they announced the shipment will arrive Nov. 7th.

We do not have clothes, bedding, work related belongings, have lost $2600, and cannot continue our lives thanks to these crooks.
