National Moving Network hit me with hidden charges, my move was 10 days late and I wasn't given a refund. Ripoff! Miami Florida

I, like many other people in these postings fell prey to National Moving Network's dishonest business practices. It seems as though they have a consistent MO. They are helpful on the intial phone call and quote an affordable price for service. However, they do not inform you that they use brokers and do not send you the "contract" which they claim is not a contract until after the deposit refund deadline. Once you have signed the contract, your contact at the company disappears and you must now deal with customer service reps, who are less than helpful or informed.

Without going into the litany of what happened, I'll just sum up my experience - there were numerous ways I was hit with hidden charges, my move was 10 days late, I never got a straight answer or refund for late delivery, etc.

I find it very curious that while most other large service companies will take various forms of payment, no moving companies will accept any type of traceable or recoverable payment. I think it speaks volumes about the nature of their business practices and the fact that they forsee their customers will be unhappy.
