Today I received a call from Jim Brown of NPS. He hardly took a breath and launched into a pitch about how their records show I have been defrauded and that criminals have access to my personal information.

He implied that their data base showed that this would happen. He then stated that he was going to give me a security code to protect myself and my family from this ever happening again. He then told me my address and phone number which he stated was to check my record - then he asked me for my bank account number!!!

After having tried to interject already I finally yelled at him to be quiet, which did stop him, and then politely asked him for a number, address and website that I could check out and then I would call him back later. He said he needed my bank account number to give me a security code that I could use before he could give me any numbers.

Suffice to say I had read your home page inside out following my first experience of fraud which I reported on your site. I calmly told Jim Brown that firstly he was breaking the law since I am on a no call list, and secondly that I was hanging up right now - which I did.

I then immediately rang my bank to advise them that someone appears to be threatening access to my accounts - and my bank was very helpful by putting an immediate watch on any attempts to automatically deduct my account. I clarified the only payments that are cleared with them.

I am certain this is a rip - off because a Valid Company would always allow my right to check, and would never solicite my information in such a way.
