Recently I began receiving phone calls from a gentleman calling himself Lee Archer claiming work in the legal department of National Processing Division. Since he would reach my voicemail he would simply state that a law suit has been filed against me and my social security number and to call him for more information.

He also called me at work more than once. The first time I called him back, it rang around 10 times before going to a generic computerized voicemail that did not state the name of the company and to leave a message. The second time I called, Mr Archer answered with a "hello". When I gave him the number that he had called me at, he proceded to tell me that a lawsuit had been filed against me for a payday loan transferred to my bank account in 2007 that had not been paid.

He proceded to tell me that that the lawsuit included charges of fraud against me. He also had my ss#, bank account #, and one of my email addresses that he claimed was used on my application for the loan. the email address in question was not in existence last year. He spoke in a very thick indian accent and paused after stating each piece of personal information with the word "correct?" My response to him was "please continue".

I asked him some questions. I asked him who the lender was. He told me the lender was Crown, a company that I have never heard of or done business with. I asked him what the date of the loan was or date of transfer. He stated 2007. I asked the same question again requesting a more specific date and he replied with 2007.

I became very annoyed and loud and he quickly put another man with an accent (not as strong) on the phone who would only relay the same info. When I became even more annoyed and loud stating that I have never heard of Crown or taken out a payday loan in 2007, he hung up on me. I called back. Mr. Archer answered again. I said that I was disconnected and Mr Archer said that his associate hung up on me because I would not cooperate and that I would soon know who they were. He then hung up.

This company/person/people has called up to six times a day and has ignored my requests for them to stop calling me at work. I have never done business with, heard of National Processing Division, received any legal written documentation, or taken a payday loan out in the entire year of 2007. I have had to contact my bank to close my account. When I checked the area code for the number that Mr Archer gave me in comes up as a NY area code. It is also important to note that this number does not show up on my caller i.d. The registers as "no number."
