I have to start from the beginning.  My bank had informed me that they had a suspicion that my card had been put on the list for fraud and if by chance do I know by whom?  I had no idea I was dumb founded so I said no I don't, so they informed me that they turned off my credit card and they sent me a new one.  I said thank you and went along my business.

Yesterday June 21, 2010 I get this call from a man name Donnie ( if that is his real name), saying that they have been trying to charge me for my subscriptions, but the card does not exist anymore.  I asked again who the company was again?  He said National Readers' Service and I told the guy that I do not have anything with them.  He said, "yes you do back in 2009; your only 1 month behind and you still have 17 months to go, so I can wait while you grab a new credit card."  I told him again no I don't and I told someone the last time they called that I did not want any magazines and to put me on their do not call list.  He said that it wasn't there company.  I told him "Then I'll tell you the same, I don't want any and put me on the do not call list and I'm not paying for something that I did not authorize."  I told him if he can send me documentation of their policy and a copy of the recording that said that I want their services in 2009 and would pay for it in 2009 than I will pay, but if he can't provide me with that than I'm not paying.  So he said well we have a department that listens to all of the recordings before we send out the magazines, so I said "Great what is their number?"  He said that he doesn't have it, but he'll forward my complaint.  I have read other people's complaints saying that they sent them stuff in the mail like letters or magazine selections.  I didn't even receive that!  Very unsettling how this company steals their profits.

I got roped into doing a magazine service before, so I learned from that mistake, so now when they call I say no thank you no matter what company.  So for anyone that get any kind of magazine call if they are talking fast, slow them down so you know what it is your getting and write it all down and keep it somewhere until your payments are done (if you decide to purchase) because then they will call back and offer a discount to your payments they don't tell you that the discount will renew your subscription; they word it like you are receiving a discount for the payments that you are paying now.  If you can tape your conversation that would be good, so you don't have to wait for them to find the so called recording and have a chance to Dr. it.

The kicker is that when I looked up the number for the address it was an unknown number, but I guess that number was attached to Arlington Virginia, so I'm not sure what address it really resides at, so if a company even a call center is legit they should not have unknown call numbers.  So I decided to also look them up and found them here SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!!  3 pages of complaints!  I'm going to notify everyone I can so we can get this company in court because apparently this company has been dipping into my account since 2009 without my permission, so they owe me my money!
