National Readers' Service They called me on my cell phone (which I believe is still illegal for a solicitor to do) and asked if I was still receiving their magazines and wanted me to sign up. They said I had previously received magazines from them and I had to re up so I wasn't charged $69 something a month and only $55 a month instead. Despite telling them no they have still sent me a letter. Shawnee Kansas
A representative from National Readers' Service called me and asked if I was still receiving their magazines. I said I was receiving a magazine but didn't know who had sent it. The representative then put me on to his manager, Angelo (of course he didn't provide a last name).
Angelo insisted that I was already being billed and had to, and foolishly I did, provide my credit card number so he would charge me $59.90 instead of $69.00 a month for 30 months to receive 7 magazine titles a month. I insisted I wasn't going to pay for magazines I had no interest in reading but I have still received a letter from National Readers' Service indicating I will be billed and they will begin sending the magazines in 8-10 weeks.
I have read other complaints on your website about this company and I truly hope something can be done about them!
Please note that the letter says Treasure Coast of Ft Myers, Fl "our authorized representative, has placed your subscription order..."
