Was solicited over the phone for membership which included an $8,000 line of credit and other valuable features. Found out that it was only a credit line for buying computers. Was charged $99.95 initially and then $239.40 for first year of membership prepaid. Received the materials promised and called back within a few days to cancel my mebership. I returned the items by Delivery Confirmation service of the US Postal Service. Delivery of returned items was confirmed and membership was cancelled by phone call November 17, 2004.

Was assured refund would be paid within 30 days. It is now January 12 and not only do I not have my refund, but I cannot speak to a live person. I have now called to follow-up every day for the past two weeks, and NO ONE is returning my calls. They claim they will call back in 24 hours. YEAH, RIGHT! When I called the President directly, I left a voice mail but he claims he has had "problems" with his voice mail and sometimes doesn't get his voice mails for sometimes up to 5 days. What the heck is going on here! I have lived up to the terms of the agreement and demand my refund. Anything less is fraud. If I do receive my refund, then I will gladly come back to report such on this site.

This is not a rip off,I work for this company and have for more than a year. I am a not the kind of person that would work for a company that rips people off, I believe that what go around comes around, I live my life by this principle, and I have them. We have many members that very satified, and have been for years. If you go to the Better Buisness web site they have no bad standing. We sign up hundred of buisness owners a day. When you sign-up that many customers you are bond to run into a problem here and there. Any customer that I sign-up, I treat them as I would want to be treated, and because I do work there I would like to say sorry to the customer whom has experience a problem. Any customer has a 30 day, no obligation, money back guarentee. It is better to have one happy customer year after year then to try to get ten :)

This most definitely is fraud.

You idiot! It's the advance fee credit scam. It most definitely is fraud. No real bank charges $340 for a credit card.

Plus, you need to fill out a credit application. Work history. Income. Past credit. Bank account.

No real lender just hands out $8,000 in credit over the phone to anyone willing to pay $300. Hell, if they did that, everybody would pay $300 and then order $8,000 worth of computers. I'd get a gold plated Viao for myself if it was that easy.

What planet are you from, anyway? Certainly something far out in the solar system.

The only reason you got a refund is because you posted a complaint on a fraud site. The frauds don't want you f**king up their scam. It's better to send one idiot his money back if they get to go on cheating thousands more.

That's what happened. You have these people to thank for your refund, certainly not NSBA. They planned to keep your money and laugh at you!

Mislead a bit, you say? Unfreakin' real.

Make a donation here. Trust me, you'll be back the next time this happens to you. It won't be long, if you keep giving your account numbers out to anyone.

From now on, whenever someone calls, tell them: I don't have a credit card or a bank account. As soon as the frauds hear that, they hang up and try to find someone else to cheat.

REFUND RECEIVED!!!

I promised that I would update my report if I did, in fact, receive my refund. I received my full refund last week and I waited a few days to make sure their check would clear. It did and I thank NSBA for finally homoring my refund request. Their methods are frustrating and not at all timely, but, as for my personal experience, it was not a rip-off or a scam.

They did refund my money, but I hope the owner realies that the way his company is operating is obviously very frustrating to MANY other people. If any of you are making refund requests, hang in there and BE PERSISTENT.

I don't believe anything totally dishonest is going on here, but they do mislead a bit and definitely drag their feet, or are undermanned, in handling the refund requests.

To be fair, I got a couple of call-backs!

1/12/05 To be fair, I must say that I actually got a call back from someone at NSBA today. It was not at the number I left for them, but it was to our business office. They left a voicemail.

1/13/05 Got another call back from a different rep this morning and at the phone number that I left! The person said that my check was overdue and that I was placed on an "emergency" processing list. I was told that I should receive my refund by mid-week next week. We'll see...
