I wanted to get a credit card on the web and I was directed to the nsba website.I filled out a form online to obtain the card since they advertised a definite approval.

After looking more closely I noticed it was for small business owners to get credit cards for their employees. So I tried to cancel the membership online right after I signed up.I'm a LPN and I don't own a business!

I got the membership packet in the mail a few days later.

Then I called nsba since my checking account had a overdraft due to nsba electronically withdrawing $95.95 . I left 3 messages on their answering machine.They don't answer their phone even during work hours!

I notified them that I was sending back the packet which I did return the next day. I also emailed them again to cancel on 6/20/05. I recieved a reply back on 6/21/05 from Rory Schlaffer who stated my account would be cancelled that day.

When I checked my account balance today, I was suprised to see that the $95.95 was electronically withdrawn from my account on 6/27/05 ! I tried to call them again but as usual I got the answering machine.So I emailed nsba 2 times today but no reply.

Aren't consumers supposed to be able to cancel a purchase or a membership within 48 hours after ordering it ?

I've learned my lesson and see that I'm not the only one who has been ripped off by nsba ! Sincerely, Katherine A. Pagaduan

Unlike you, I don't hide; I make myself available and even include my cell phone number.

Second of all, if you are not a member, why do you feel you know what is going on? You obviously don't.

The fact is that we have taken extreme measures to correct the situation such as adding 12 new phone lines, 12 new member services reps and we have purchased a new phone system. Everyone is now able to get through during business hours.

Please check your facts before making slanderous remarks, you could find yourself in a very personally difficult situation if you spout off to the wrong person. Obviously, this is probably why you identify yourself as secret

Dennis Mario CAN you not read or are you just so use to rebuttaling that you overlooked KATHERINES UPDATE THAT STATED SHE DID GET HER REFUND VIA FEDEX

I Was searching for a Credit card to build my credit and i came across NSBA.

I automatically checked them out with this site(as i tend to do every since i got frauded by AMERICAN CREDIT FINDERS BASED IN TRIMBLE, MO)
But anyways I found a SLEW OF COMPLAINTS, and I read them and as a consumer/and future business owner i would not want to do business with a company who have over a 100 complaints and most of them seem to be similar in nature.

And after every complaint you have a tired rebuttal by the company owner, saying the same dam thing. seems that this owner can't stop the problem because he's to busy creating excuses.

Maybe Dennis Mario YOU SHOULD TRY TO STOP THE PROBLEMS AND THERE BY REDUCING YOUR COMPLAINTS.

YOU look very ignorant and fraudulent when you blame the consumer for your companies customer service or lack there of, i see all your rebuttals as lame excuses. Maybe you should have your customer services reps answer the phones and then you would not have to leave your phone number after all your pitiful rebuttals.

I have read how people have to leave messages what type of place are you running!


And as A direct result of your reputation on this site and the BBB i will not join your organization as i do not want to become a victim of your fraudulent tactics and i do not want to be a recipient of your lame and tired excuses

Dennis, Maybe the hysteria and mania you've spoken about in your rebuttal,is due to the fact that there are some companies that really DO RIPOFF their customers. I did give RipOff report the credit because they gave me a chance to see what other people had experienced and to make my voice heard. Now I'm giving you credit also for following up and doing what was right! You've got to admit that all this publicity was probably good for NSBA's public relations. At least in America we have the freedom of speech to express our opinions! Regards,

Thanks for acknowledging the fact that NSBA did everything it promised to do for you and that we did go the extra mile. I am disheartened though that you feel that RipOff reports was responsible for NSBA taking action. After the e-mails and conversations that have taken place, you have to admit that we sincerely tried to make things right for you, regardless of RipOff Report's involvement.

I believe RipOff has value; the problem I have personally experienced with it is mass hysteria and mania. Many of the people who complain there get caught up in the emotion and grossly exaggerate but never retract their statement or, as with you, you did report back and I do appreciate it, however you gave RipOff reports all the credit.

CHECK FEDERAL EXPRESSED

A check was Federal Expressed on 7/7/05. I really don't expect Katherine to report that she did receive the check and that we did follow through.

I really need some help understanding why when we bend over backwards living up to our commitments almost all of the individuals complaining don't report back.

We have had some growth problems and have made major investments in new facilities, phone systems, and additional personnel to address these concerns. We do try to be responsive to the point where I invite members to call me personally, which they do. We then have a very professional conversation and I do live up to 100% of what I commit to, yet almost none report this. When asked, they say they got caught up in the mania and are embarrassed to admit so. Consequently, NSBA continues with a black eye unjustifiably.

If someone does feel that they were wronged, they have every right to complain. However, when the perceived wrong is addressed quickly and professionally, doesn't the company rightfully deserve to be acknowledged? What does that say about the individual? Isn't that even more embarrassing?

Again, I invite anyone with a grievance to call me directly. RipOff Reports, I have requested many times to have my number published and you don't. Please do so this time.

NSBA sends me a cancellation notice!

I just recieved a cancellation letter confirming that my membership was cancelled on 6/21/05. It was dated on 6/22/05 but the postmark is 6/29/05. It says that in order to process my refund I must return the membership portfolio with a cancellation #26138522 on it.I already returned the portfolio to the Cathedral City address when I recieved it and have the return reciept to prove it! This is the WORST BUSINESS I've EVER dealt with. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION is POORLY LACKING!! My next step is to contact the "Trouble Shooter, Tom Martino".

I still haven't recieved my ACH deposit that nsba promised to me on 7/1/05! I suppose that they just wanted to better thier image with the rebuttal they previously made? It should of been deposited by now. They are QUICK to withdraw funds from my checking account but SLOW to deliver their promises!

I recieved a few emails and one phone call from Romy Schlaffer! The latest email informs me that a ACH deposit was requested by nsba for the $99.95 that they withdrew on 6/27/05. According to nsba, there was a problem with their resubmits and it was a mistake that they took out the $ after I had cancelled my membership. Sounds like they don't have good communication in their company! I've been promised to get my $99.95 credited back to my checking account today. We will see...

I just wanted to add info that the mailing address to send back the membership packet is the above PO box in California. But the business address is in DC.
