I took my 1997 Chevy Venture into NTB on 11/22/2011 @5:41pm due to a loud noise under the hood of car. I assumed that it was the tie rod due to photos taken under the hood. I also prior to this day had both the left and right side outer tie rods replaced already. I not being a mechanic, was not sure what it was. In pass issues with my vehicle when taken to NTB, because they have been working on the Chevy since 2006, if I said I need something fixed, relying on the mechanics expertise, the mechanic would look under the hood and advise me on what the true problem is, and not base it off of my assumptions due to my lack of knowledge about vehicles/repairs.

On 11/22/2011 around 8:24 pm, PAUL KRAUCHUN, the mechanic who logged in the vehicle called and said that the Sway Bar was cracked, and that it also needed to be replaced. I told him that I could not afford to do both the Inner tie Rods and the Sway Bar. PAUL DID NOT disclose to me that the Inner tie rods were perfectly fine, and that they did not need to be replaced. He tried to enlarge my bill with the Tie Rods Cost of $472.53, plus an additional cost of the Sway Bar of $354.88 to grow my bill to around $850.00 including taxes. The Mechanic had a duty to tell me at that point that the Tie Rods were perfectly fine, and that they did not need replacing at all, it was the Sway Bar that needed replacing. PAUL did not advise me of that and they replaced the inner tie rods.

I went into NTB on 11/23/2011 to pick up my vehicle, and pay the fee. As I was driving away, the same noise that was heard before dropping off the vehicle was still present. I went back into the NTB and had a Mechanic (FREDDIE) PAUL was off this day, to put the car on the rack so I could see exactly what was replaced. FREDDIE showed me the Inner tie rods that was replaced and stated that the Inner Tie Rods were perfectly fine and did not need replacing. So why did NTB replace something that did not need to be replaced, and why did they not advise me of that. That was a deliberate deception and fraud committed by them to charge me more money than what was needed and they knew it. I then spoke to JOSEPH SUES JR. THE MANAGER and explained the problem. He admitted that the tie rods were fine. I asked that they credit me the tie rod cost and charge me for a Sway Bar replacement(what was really needed to be replaced in the first place) and he, JOSEPH SUES JR. shoved my receipts to me and told me NO we cannot help you.
