I took my car for a radiatior and hearing problem to NTB. The service was not performed to my satisfaction. I took NTB to small claims court in Lyndhurst Ohio and got rewarded $ 350 plus $ 70 and 5% interest per annum. NTB refused to pay. I wrote a letter to their headquarter in Florida, but got no resonse either. Then I went back to the Lyndhurst court to garnish their bank account. The total amount per court paper by then was $459.38. That included the additional court filing. That did not result in any payment either. I don't know where to go from here. I thought NTB's headquarter was TBC Corporation, 7111 Fairway Drive, Suite 201, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418.

This court case judgement was paid with interest in September 2010 in the amount of $523.96.  Unfortunately, the court case judgement was never made known to the company.  The store management had changed and the proper paperwork was never filed to ensure the claim was paid.  When the customer service team received the complaint letter, they contacted the district manager who investigated the claim.  As the claim was found to be factual, and the proper paperwork was received, the company processed a claim check to the customer for the proper amount.

Why didn't you go to an ENT for that hearing problem?

A last resort may be doing what is known as a "Till Tap".  If available in your State, this is where the courts will send a Sheriff Deputy into the business and take all of the cash out of the register to pay the judgment.  They will then also stay for a set amount of time(usually 4-8 hours) and collect any cash or checks that come in, until the time is up or the amount is paid.  The business is usually also responsible for this fee as well.  Your amount is probably small enough where they may just have that much money in the register initially.

If you do this, you can probably expect to get paid in full almost instantly.  As the last thing a business wants is a Sherriff Deputy hanging out at their register all day.  Does not really do much for customer relations.
