I actually just read an article on your website that pretty much described my predicament... to the T.
I was sent a request to confirm my business information and since we just opened a brand new (and small) business, I confirmed and signed. I am certain there was no fine prints about a fee. This is important to note.

However, the National Yellow Pages (which now I know is a scam operation) sent me an invoice, then emails, then calls and then a collection agency called too (a bogus one, I assume as well: Davis & Jones).
I’m in NY and this National yellow pages is in TX. The link to the supposed listing is a fake, and leads nowhere:

www.nationalyellowpages.com which links up to nothing and turns into www.ypedia.com

They keep asking for money, and threaten to send my business to collection insuring a bad rating.

I really don’t know what to do now: I reached out to the BBB (which really is sending me from one bureau to the next), FTC, attorney generals, & while I want people to read this and be careful, I still don’t know how to nullify the “balance” and call it quits. It seems like this is going to go on forever…

Feeling powerless…
