I signed my son up for 12-13 Fall Basketball on 8-10-15 and I paid $85.00. I received an email from the coach that my son was assigned to a team on 9-25 telling me where the practice was going to be held. The problem was the location, it was 30-35 minutes away from house,which was a problem because it's during the week and my child has school. I tried to work with the coach to see if there was any way that he could hold the practice closer to my house but unfortunetly he was able to change the location. Shortly after I email Travis Hawthorne (thawthorne@nysonline.net) to let him know about the situation, I asked him if he could assign my son to a team closer to my house. He told me that there was another team in my area but unfortunetly it broke up due to them not being able to come up with a coach.
I then asked him if I could get a refund back since I wasn't able to have my son join the team that my son was assigned to, he told me that he could not offer me a refund since they have a team that is available. I have been going back and forth with this guy without a resolution. I sent both the vice president (Tony Miller)and the president (Steve Pipoly) of NYS emails and I still haven't had a response. I am not sure why they are making me go through all these hoops just to get my refund back. My son hasn't practiced nor played any games...It has been two months the season has already started and still no refund.
