Complaint Review: Nationex Marketing

I just received a check for $2,895 from Nationex Marketing. Having been a victim of check fraud before, I did a lot of homework with this check. I saw there were a lot of fraud claims against Nationex, but none against Nationex Marketing. The envelope was out of Canada, the company's address was out of New York, and the check was from Dozier, AL.

The New York address is to a Hilton Hotel in New York; the phone number provided under the address was a number out of Quebec; the check was from a bank that stated on their main site that a bunch of counterfeit checks have been sent across the country for lotto scams.

-However-, this is trying to get you to sign up as a secret shopper. You have a professional letter with the check. There is a form to fill out and a break down of what to do with the funds of the check. Of course $2,445 of the check is to be sent back to somebody through MoneyGram/Western Union.

I looked at several different fraud sites and the Nationex name keeps coming up. I am going to call the bank to inform them of this check. Is there anyone else I could contact to help catch these scumbags? Hope this helps.
