since August I've been trying to refi with Nationstar, my current mortgage holder. The home is with 1mm and equity is around 700k. I'm getting divorced and need to pay ex-spouse 330k. Asked for cash out refi to pay. My legal deadline was 12/15 to pay ex-spouse. Nationstar said we'd close on 12/18. I heard nothing from then for a week, so i called on 12/17 - only to be told the underwriter had concerns about my alimony. I then furnished proof of additional income, in the form of stock grants (publicly traded stock.) No call, no info on 12/18. I call 12/22 to find processor on vacation till new years; called mortgage officer and he tells me underwriter will not accept stock grants as income. They are causing me to lose my house, be in contempt of court and they could care less. Heartless company. I make 250k / year, alimony is 50k and they think I can't pay 3100 mortgage payment. Insane. I have owned this property and paid the mortgage the past 13 years.
