John Parker, initially called my parents at their home in Texas claiming they were serving me papers to appear in front of a judge unless I called 855-204-7722 claim # 129463 and made an arrangement. On February 8, 2011 at 12:34. (This is what they told my parents.)

I immediately called the number and asked for in writing a verification of the debt. A company called Nationwide answered the called. They said that they were a mediation company. They Debt was from a Pay Day loan where the last payment was missed and from March of 2009. I asked if I could get teh information they listed in writing so I could verify it. They said they would not provide anything in writing but they would knock of the location fee of $200 and the total owed would be $118. If I choose not to pay they would proceed and deliver me papers taking me to court. I choose to to pay unless I had some sort of paperwork.

The next day I received a phone call from John Parker on my cell asking me if I paid Nationwide. I said no. Then they wanted to verify my address and a time to deliver the paperwork. I gave them a somewhat fake address and he said since I had moved to a new state that they would have to send the request to their California office. When I asked what company he was from he said and independent contractor.

At the same time a ex-coworker of mine notified me that they had left a voice mail on his machine from Steve, claiming that I owe money and they would be delivering court papers to my work. (Once again giving details to the wrong party) John then called my ex-coworker 10 minutes later ans poke to him in person. He wanted to know where I was. When he refused to give him any info he threaten to come down and "kick his a**" If I owe a debt I will pay it but I will not me threatened. Will I get served? Should I pay the $118? I truly think its a scam.

I recieved a call very similar from a "Tim Burke" who said he was a process server in Maricopa County and when I called the number I was given the claim of a debt that I had paid off, and one that was for an old payday loan from 3 or 4 years ago.  When I informed them that they broke the law by saying they were pressing criminal charges against me they hung up on me.  I called back, I was given to an 18 year old kid who claimed she was working for a lawyers office and they were going to take me in front of a judge or magistrate.  She didn't want to hear that her company just broke the law so she began to insult me which is also on tape.  I told her a few things HA HA and she became more enraged.  When I called her a bottom feeder loser who couldn't get a real job she lost it and hung up on me.  It was classic.  Anyone who has been contacted by this company needs to file a claim with their states attorney general for illegal debt collection.  They are boiler room morons that don't know what they are doing and get the names.  Because the names that I was given two of them don't exist or the people have passed away.

They are operating out of the state of California pot head central They claim they are surving legal paperwork and if you inform them that you are in the process of filing bankruptcy they skoff as if they aren't obligated to abide by the law.

I got the same voice message left at my job.  My attorney is trying to go after them, but they refuse to give an address.  If anyone has an address for Nationwide ADR or Frank Wright, who was the "independent contractor" who left the message at my job, I would greatly appreciate it.  They violated so many creditor harrassment laws!

Thanks.

The net time this scammer calls tell him you know this is a scam and you reported him to the police for the threats.   Record all of his calls .
A scammer tried to scam me out of some money a few years back and I told him this.
" I just cast a spell on you . If you continue to call me with this crap I will make sure this spell brings you very bad luck in the future. "I also told him that I was a real witch and the spell was for real.
He got scared and hung up and never called again.
