Nationwide C.S. INC are thieves. It all started when I went to Prince William County Employment Center that is located in Woodbridge, Va, near Strayer University, when I saw an employment ad. I thought it would be a cool and easy way to earn money while I was in school and working at my part-time job.

So, I gave Nationwide a call and dialed the extension number, there was no one to assist me, except for the recorded message, it said to leave you name and mailing address and they would mail me the registeration form.

A few days later I received the registeration form and mailed them $38 deposit that they PROMISED they would refund back to me plus a $50 sign on bonus! The company CLEARLY stated that the $38 "assures us that you are serious about wanting to earn money by stuffing envelopes"... they lied. The thing that really pissed me off was that the $38 "Deposit is fully refundable and backed by our guarantee!!"

I should have listened to my father and friend who were skiptical about this stuffing envelopes thing, but argued that I just didn't get the ad anywhere, I got it from the employement ad, in Prince William County EMPLOYMENT CENTER! There is no where to contact NationWide and complain about this problem because they are thieves and I want my $38 dollars back!

Hi,

I feel your pain. Consider it a lesson learned for the price of $38.00. Others have lost substantial amounts of money for similar scams. I am neither a victim or affiliated with this company.

1. Anyone can place an ad anywhere. Beware of similar ads in reputable job sites like careerbuilder, monster, employmentguide, or your local employment agency.

2. Most of all "work at home" sites are also scams. The only one making the money are the sites that charge a $15.00 and upwards to become a member to have access to "work at home" opportunities in there so called database.

3. Another wide spread internet scam is "work at home by placing ads". They claim they will show you how and where to palce them. They usually charge $10-$15 for the information packet. Once you receive it. You will find that you will be doing what they did to recruit you into the scam. So now you will be scamming others.

4. Do not believe everything you read. Verify the information and research. Look before you leap. Curiousity killed the cat. Rule of thumb only believe 50% of what you read. Until it is proven otherwise.

Just like you I came across this site from an ad on employmentguide.com. Here is a link of the original ad ( you can click on it or just type it into your address bar ) http://www.employmentguide.com/All_Work_At_Home_Jobs/ALL/jobdetails.html?JobID=122035

The irony is they say they can guarantee it in writing but they will not back their $38.00 refund policy. Also, here is the link to the Better Business Bureau's website and their status. They have received an unsatisfactory rating mostly from the same complaint as you. Here is the link. http://worf.usshurdman.com/~vegas/commonreport.html?compid=61597

Wish you luck and document what you have. If any charges are brought against them. You may be able to file and try to reclaim your losses.

Best of luck to you and everyone. I am writing this because I am so fed up with these scams taking advantage of innocent people just looking for honest work. Life goes on.
