Nationwide Capital Funding Nationwide Capital Funding, Jessica Dawson, Offered a $5,000.00 secured loan but after sending collateral money, no money was sent Newton Massachusetts
On November 21, 2006, after several phone conversations with Jessica Dawson, I sent the collateral money as instructed and was promised I would receive the loan in my checking account within 8-12 hours or by November 22, 2006. I received a call the evening of the 22nd and Ms. Dawson was telling me that the private lender did not put the correct amount that i was suppose to send as collateral, and that I needed to send additional funds.
After I declined, she told me that she had to file some papers to cancel the process and that i would receive my refund via fedex the next day and that she would call me back with the tracking number. The day after thanks giving i still had not heard from her, so i called and left several messages for her. Today is the 3rd of December and i still have not received a call back or my refund.

Good for you for not sending more money.
Google "advance fee loan".
The first hit is usually a page on the FTC website telling you not to expect to ever see the loan, or a refund.

"Don't pay for the promise of a loan. It's illegal for companies doing business by phone in the U.S. to promise you a loan and ask you to pay for it before they deliver. Requiring advance fees for loans also is illegal in Canada."
