Update to Pensacola roofing complaint

Nationwide Catastrophe Services did finally install a roof June/July, 2016.  Missy-Walker Jones personally handled the project.  She did not get the proper permits, the roof did not pass inspection, and she would no longer respond to our complaints.  There was no remedy to permitting the roof, so we had to hire a local company to tear off the Nationwide installed roof and then reroof our house.  Nationwide Catastrophe Services did not repair the damaged vinyl siding, which was part of the contract.  Missy Walker-Jones stated that she did not know how to have it repaired!

We engaged an attorney in August, 2016.  Our case is making its way through the court system.  Correspondence from our attorney and the courts has gone unanswered.

Department of Business and Professional Regulation is serving an Administrative Complaint on the contractor, as they have found probable cause to believe that the contractor violated applicable sections of Chaper 489, Florida Statutes, the practice act that governs licensed contractors. We are awaiting updates on the progress of that case and the ultimate outcome.

#3REBUTTAL Individual responds

My name is Missy Walker-Jones.  I was named on the complaint personally.  I have been working with this homeowner and I will admit he does have a valid complaint regarding the delay for getting the roof completed.  I have apologized and I do want to take care of this situation.  Due to the amount of storms, our crews are spread very thin and I have explained that to him.  My employee, Connell Stallworth, has gone out of his way to meet with the homeowner, personally and try to reassure them that we have not taken his money and ran.  We would never do anthing of that sort.  My concern is that the homeowner has sent an email to Connell stating that they were going to report Connell for Elderly Abuse.  That is a very very strong allegation and I don't take that lightly.  My company has personally helped many elderly families that didn't have the money to completely do their roof and so we did the work as a community service for them.  We don't advertise those situations because that isn't why we do those things.  But to be threatened by someone with that complaint is very disturbing.  I will take care of the homeowner as soon as I possibly can, but I would like an apology to Connell from the homeowner regarding his impending threat.

Also, regarding the calls and texts from the homeowner: I get the calls and texts at 12:30 in the morning when I am sleeping.  I have taken many of the calls but when the calls come in daily, I don't know how to answer them any more.  I am not saying that is the correct thing to do but I can say that I am truly at a loss for words about the updates being done on a daily basis.

These homeowners are wonderful people and again, I will say they do have a valid complaint.  But I will handle the issue and will not take his money and run.
