I put a dining room set in lay a way after the manager said I could take as much time as needed to complete payment as long as I paid something on a regular basis.

I paid $200 in total on a sale of $500. When it came time to make another payment, the salesman said they are no longer taking payments on lay a way because they are going out of business and I must pay the balance immediately or find something in the store for the $200 I had paid. So I asked for the manager to find out why I had not been notified they were going out of business.

The manager tells me they are notifying customers in alpha order and they had not gotten to my name but I had a few more weeks to come up with the balance or find something for $200. Since I had time I waited another week and on my way to the store a man was holding a sign which said, last day store closing. I never got any notice. So I proceed to the store and the warehouse is empty other than a few broken pieces and mattresses. I asked what did they expect me to get for $200. Keep in mind they never had anything for $200 in the first place.

These people closed their door, didn't notify customers they were going out of business, disconnected the corporate office phone lines, and ran with my money. I had previously contacted the BBB and they contacted the company 3 times and got no response. So I was left without my money and no dining room table.

The only reason I found out they were going out of business was because I happen to driving in the area and saw a man holding the going out of business sign.

The lies they tell are unbelieveable, they even told me I was not in their computer system but I showed them a computer printed receipt from their store for the amount I had paid.

If there is any lawsuits or class actions against this company, I want to be a part of it. I believe they have ran off with other customers money because they never notified anyone, they just locked their doors and left.
