Nationwide Moving Lied and attempt to defraud Unknown Internet

Our experience, moving from Wisconsin to Georgia, has most of the aspects that are included in other posted online complaints - late arrival, unmarked trucks, unprofessional employees, attempt to increase price after loading, holding household goods 'hostage' with delivery weeks after originally promised. We, at least, managed to eventually get everything although many items were damaged.

Here's the bottom line: this company is a CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE. Everyone - from the sweetie who takes your order and credit card info to the scummy loading crew to the 'manager' who tries to leverage you to pay more than quoted to get your possessions back - knows how the company operates and is party to it all. Here's the key: no bona fide moving company will give you a quote over the phone. They all have professional sales people who come out and do an estimate IN WRITING and who don't expect payment up front, cash or credit card.

As I said, we were fairly fortunate to get our stuff, eventually. But the hearache and anxiety were not worth the relatively small potential savings they offered. Go with the big names who have brick-and-mortar operations (with addresses they'll share), get three prices and select from them. Don't think about the cheap price - think about how much it will cost to replace all your stuff after they charge your credit card and then drop it off in a dumpster somewhere.
