Complaint Review: Nationwide Relocation Services - Moving

Nationwide Relocation does not respect its estimates, Moving Company ripoffs

I had to move from Chicago to Philadelphia and I asked for an estimate from the company in question. For around 2500 pounds I received an estimate of $1370; the estimator's name was Peter Drivas. At the same time and without my knowledge my fiancee received an E-mail from Erick Granda another estimator from the same company with exactly the same description of items but around $150 more expensive. When I called Mr. Granda to explain the difference, caught by surprise, he began to make all sort of excuses like 'I contacted your girlfriend first', 'Peter Drivas is a new employee, he didnt know what he was doing' and so on... I called Peter Drivas in order to proceed with his original estimate but he refused to do so, explaining that he was not in charge of my account anymore and tried to transfer me to John... a transfer that took 10mins, at the end of which, bored of waiting, I hung up the phone.

This must be one of the most un-professional experiences I have had with any company. I for one, will never ever do bussiness with this company again and encourage people to be careful when dealing with these particular brokers.

Talking about liars...

You NRS folks have absolutely gotta be EXPERTS on that subject. If only you knew even HALF as much about moving, maybe you wouldn't have so many disgruntled ex-employees and customers complaining on here. NationwideLOSERServices is one crooked outfit, and it's a d**n shame that the government sees fit to allow you to legally screw people. I predict that this injustice will be corrected though, and that you folks will ultimately end up where you belong - in jail.

To investigate an individual's history, it would be most helpful to first know the birth name of that individual in question.

Thank you for contacting the AuthentiSEAL Team. We greatly appreciate your interest in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams, and your search for the TRUTH.

If the name you provided is spelled correctly, we do NOT have a listing in our database for anyone named "H. William Krall. Be aware that I have also examined possible alternate spellings, and names with similar pronunciations, based upon the information you provided.

Unless he has undertaken the unlikely action of a full legal name change since his claimed service with the SEAL Teams, I can state conclusively that
the man named above has NEVER completed SEAL training, and he is not now, nor was he ever a Navy SEAL.

If you decide to confront the man regarding his fraudulent claims, you might consider showing this email message to him, and invite him to contact me - a REAL SEAL. I'd be very interested to hear all the details of his claimed service as a SEAL. I'm betting I don't hear from him at all.

It is quite common for those making fraudulent SEAL claims - especially claims involving extraordinary combat heroics - to cite a "secret" training class or "secret mission" as an explanation for the lack of military documentation to back up their stories.
I would caution you that despite anything the man might have said, there are NO secret SEALs. Before any classified operations may be undertaken, a man must first successfully complete the totally unclassified BUD/S Training
program. There have been and will continue to be secret missions, but there are NO secret SEALs. We know them all.

I also checked a separate database at www.military.com, under "Buddy Finder", and found only one listing for a "Hank William Krall", who was in fact in the Navy, but apparently didn't make it past Seaman Recruit, or E-1.
There is no listing for him as having served in any other branch of service either. I'm absolutely certain he wasn't a SEAL, and taken together with the Military.com information, I suspect he never even finished an enlistment in
the Navy.

If you wish to respond to this email message, please use the REPLY TO ALL button at the top of your email screen display. By doing so, you will ensure that all of the SEAL Authenticator Team members, including myself, will receive a copy of your message. Thank you again for your assistance in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams.

Respectfully,

SDV Team One

Milton,

If these reports of under estimating the weight are not true, then why respond? It was once said that it is better to keep your opinions to yourself and let them think you are challenged, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt!

Unscrupulous Brokers

#12Consumer Suggestion

Senior Relocation Specialists? What a farce, senior level at your company could be anyone who stuck around more than a week. I suppose the specialists had years of schooling and trade experience in order to get that specialist title. Give me a break

It is outrageous how long and far these moving rip-off have gone on without state authorities stepping in. The sad fact of the matter is that the majority of the victims pay the extortion fees and move on with their lives.

All these knuckleheads need is an 800 number and a yellow page ad. They give an estimate that will lure the consumer into going with their company and then quickly sell the load to sometimes-unethical moving companies--often partners in the business. Some brokers could care less what happens to your load as long as they get their hundred bucks or so.

Never expect to pay an estimate a broker gives. Brokers could care less if you report them to the authorities because they get to blame it on the moving companies it uses who tend to change names every quarter.

My suggestion is to cut out the middleman and go with the big moving companies or U-Haul it yourself.

Broker Estimates

#12Consumer Comment

Fri, March 01, 2002

Companies such as Nationwide Relocation only have authority to act as brokers. A broker basically is just to match the shipper with the "authorized carrier". Brokers are "NOT" supposed to give HHG estimates. We are now starting to investigate HHG brokers. One in particular has been fined $6000.

CUSTOMER WAS NEVER MOVED BY OUR COMPANY

#12UPDATE Employee

Thu, February 28, 2002

The customer in question and his girlfriend called in to Nationwide Relocation Services and received two seperate quotes from two different estimators. One was quoted with a weight of 2500 lbs., the other was quoted at 2750 lbs. The quotes were based on the lists of items that the customers gave to the estimators. When Erik and Peter, both Senior Relocation Specialists and dedicated employees, realized that they had quoted the same move, John, the Sales Manager, called the customers to get a more accurate list of items. The customer was very insistant on going with the 2500 lbs. estimate. John tried to explain that if they would be taking 2750 lbs of furniture, they would need to go with the higher estimate. The customers continued to express their dissatisfaction, so John told the customer we would honor the 2750 lbs. move at the 2500 lbs price, with one of our Major Van Lines. The customers chose to go with another company.

We at Nationwide Relocation Services Inc., pride ourselves in ACCURATE estimating, reliable on time service and dedicated employees. We would like to make it clear that this customer was never moved by our company and had no service issues.
