I used Nationwide Relocation to move my deceased parent's belongings from Pahrump, NV to Dallas, Texas in March of 2008.

They first assured us that they were, indeed, Nationwide Van Lines. They assured us they had a separate vault in which to move valuable items - my grandfather clock. They assured us they would build crates for things like the clock and curio cabinets. They gave us the best estimate for our move...so, unknowingly, we chose them.

They were late by two days for our move. The driver's semi had a recycled trailer from Atlas Van Lines. His two helpers arrived from somewhere in the area and did not want to listen to directions or be courteous. The crating we were promised was no more than cardboard taped to the furniture. There was no separate vault. Everything was piled in mounds on top of each other. They said we had more items and weight than estimated.

Once back in Dallas, they made it manditory that they unload in pouring rain or we would have to pay extra. They moved our items into storage with local workers who could speak NO English. As a result, items were broken. Everything got wet.

We asked that the truck be weighed again to validate the estimate. The move ended up being much more than quoted.

Once we moved into our home and removed the items from storage. Many things were damaged and we had no recourse.
