After signing a contract with this company in January 2008 (and paying a substantial deposit, approx 35% of the total cost) and then updating the information in early April 2008 (and paying yet more of a deposit), we were assigned to three different carriers (or van lines) to handle our move.

In addition, we were "encouraged" to purchase moving insurance from them, despite the fact that this practice is frowned upon by regulators; Nationwide informed us that the "new carrier" (i.e., the second one assigned to our household move) wasn't covered by the insurance company we were using.

To make a long story short, two weeks before our move ... and then a week before our move from Virginia to Wisconsin, we contacted the company to confirm that everything was "a go" and that no glitches or problems were anticipated. We were assured that our move would take place without a hitch.

Nonetheless, the day before our move, we contacted the agent van company contracted by Nationwide Moving to handle our move and were told that they "had no records" of our intended move and that we should contact Nationwide. Despite spending hours on hold and repeating the same information to countless low-level reps -- and being disconnected several times -- nobody showed up when promised to handle our move.

Because of a new job, we had to leave our entire household of furniture and furnishings behind when we left to drive from Virginia to Wisconsin. We fully intend to pursue the matter. We have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and plan to contact both a lawyer and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the licensing agency that oversees companies like this. Be very, very careful when dealing with Nationwide Relocation Services and/or any of their affiliated companies.

This too also happened to us with Nationwide relocation services out of Ft. Lauderdale Fl. I too spoke with Sarah and even demanded that she do a conference call with the actual carrier ADS. She did and then when the company confirmed what I told her she rushed him off the phone and then tried to twist his word around. I have filed complaints with the BBB, consumeraffairs.com and am looking for others that this has happened to so that we can try to get justice. They are ripping people off big time often hundreds and thousands per job.

They want me to pay $750 in storage fees after their agent Anthony Garcia told me I could choose a specific date in the delivery window since I was going on vacation right after they picked up my goods. I have spoken with 3 so called managers ( Cicely, Cheryl and Sarah Sanford) demanding my weight tickets for the last 5 days and my shipment still hasnt been weighed.

please email me if you have been ripped off by them too so that we can take action against them together as I see we are one of many that have been ripped off. email me at (((email redacted)))
