I initally was contracting with this company until I saw all the negative reports about them on this site. I also did not like the terms of the contract, furniture delivered in up to 21 business days. Decided not to sign contract, Nationwide Van Lines collected on the electronic check informtaion I had given them. However, they never would have picked up furniture without a contract but had no problem taking my money without a signed contract.

Fraud runs rampant through this company even before they touched a single article of my belongings. When I told them to put it back the same way they took it-electronically-they would not! Orit Gmach said they would issue me a check when they find out if my check cleared! I even had my attorney talk to them, using the word FRAUD. My bank stopped payment on the check so in the end I won, but I will have to close the account to make sure they do not try to put it through again. Do not do business with a company that will take your money without a contract but not your furniture!

Stepanie,
Nationwide's policy is to get a deposit when booking a move. When a customer gives us his/her bank and check info, that means that he/she agrees to the deposit and is reserving the truck for the date requested. We then deposit the check and put it as a deposit towards the move.
The deposit is fully refundable up to 72 hours before the p/u date. Stephanie did not even call to cancel, we were the ones to call to confirm the pick up.
We are not able to credit her account immediately.
Once the check clears the bank , we will send her a check for the FULL AMOUNT.
Stephanie - piece of advice: next time do not give your personal banking info, it can save you a lot of time , headaches and stress.
NOBODY HAS TRIED TO DEFRAUD YOU.
