After taking out a loan with Nationwide Cash I was unable to pay the full amount back but called them to make payment arrangements. Mr Mitchell at this company is the rudest person I think I have ever dealt with. He has threatened me and also my friend that made a phone call for me with conspiracy to commit fraud.

I advised him that if I was trying to commit fraud I would not be calling to try to make payment arrangements. He spoke to me like a kid asking what my excuse was and what happened to my last payday.

I told him it was gone and I did not appreciate his attitude with me. I have paid back half of the loan 335.00 and plan on paying back the other half. They are harrassing me at work and threatening having me detained.

Can they do anything as long as I make a payment.

I too have got trapped by Pay Day loans. Anyhow we must have spoken to "Mr. Mitchell" the same night. Yes he threatens and intimidates which goes against the Fair Credit Reporting act.

I promised him that I would send him $200 the next day and was a mess from his intimidation for about 2 hours. He caught me right after I had had minor surgery.

Anyhow to make a long story short, this is a debt and there is no such thing as debtors prison. Pay them back and document everything just like any other debt. The law will NOT come and get you.

I am not sure if I can post this here but I ran across this site after he threatened me thus I was calmed down a bit.

Don't let them intimidate you. Just keep paying until it is paid in full. When he becomes abusive tell him you know it's just a scare tactic and hang up. They will not put you in jail for fraud because you have not committed fraud. Tell him you know your rights and he is not to contact you at work again. Request all correspondence is to be in writing.

These scumbags try to scare people into paying NOW. Screw them. Everyone gets in a jam once in awhile. No one and no court will do anything to you as long as your are paying. They just think you don't know that.

These people used to scare me until I learned it was BS. If this is an Internet loan and they are in another state, they don't want you to know you could probably quit paying them and they won't do anything because it is too much trouble to take people to court in another state. He doesn't want you to know that. Good Luck.
