Review on Navtrans Global:

Two Persian Rugs missing….

I moved from Penang/Malaysia to Munich/Germany with Curio Pack Removalists from Penang and then with Navtrans from Port Bremen/Germany to my address in Munich.

Upfront I have to say that I packed everything myself and therefore no insurance coverage was available. Secondly, I made a huge mistake myself and signed the complete delivery in good faith and noticed the missing rugs only next day and advised Navtrans, Mr Benjamin Beger, immediately by phone and email.

This all was caused under big time pressure to me (I am 68 years old), since the truck parked direct in front of the house on the pedestrian way where absolute no standing/parking was allowed.

When I advised Mr Beger about the size of the two missing rugs, he said immediately that it was not possible to put them on the two delivered pallets and suggested that they probably never where shipped from Penang.

I checked this the Curio Pack in Penang and they provided on the spot all delivery paperwork (Bills of lading) from Penang up to customs in Germany/Bremen.

The same paperwork I requested from Navtrans, but so far have not received anything from him (Navtrans).

When asked firstly, he told me that he checked everything and they got only 2 pallets and this was confirmed by the two delivery guys. Later he changed (after Penang came up with the Bills of Lading) that everything was delivered as I have signed off on. Therefore, he can’t help any further. The Bills of Lading has shown, that it was 2 pallets and 1 extra item with the two rugs due to the over-size. On the truck were only the 2 pallets and after unloading the truck was empty since I was the last delivery on this day – according to the two delivery guys.

The value of the two Persian Rugs with certificate is Deutsch Mark 18.000 (bought in 1996).

A copy of the delivery items I signed were not handed out with the remark that I will get a copy from the office at Navtrans.

Now I received by email from Curio Pack (not from Navtrans!) some paperwork with several discrepancies.

Firstly, the following boxes were ticked on the delivery form: Unpacking, Furniture re-assembled and Pick-up of empty packing materials.  None of this was needed and done due to the fact that I packed everything myself in plastic container and/or wrapped them in two layers of bubble wrap.

Secondly, on the Bill of lading from Penang it says: 3 Packages (2 Pallets and 1 Package) / 37 items with a weight of 572,40kg. Der Frachtbrief/ Bill of Lading from the company who picked up my goods from Bremen (Ost-Euro-Trans Fa Zimmermann) shows: 8 Pallets and 2 Packages with a weight of 2000kg.

How is this discrepancy possible?

I guess too many ‘unsolved’ issues….Lost, stolen or just misplaced???
