NBLA National Better Living Association The only thing "insuring " about this company is the lies... Duluth, Georgia
After several conversations with "David" who was representing NBLA, I decided it sounded like a great idea.So I signed up.After the nearly $500 had been taken from my checking account, I still had no paperwork.Spoke repeatedly to "David", as I had to stop my old health insurance so I would not be paying for both."No problem", he assured me..And finally after 3 times of supposedly sending me the paperwork it came.Of course by then I had already cancelled my old insurance.
The first lie was telling me that both meds I take was on their list. One was not ,so if I plan to continue with it I will be paying $100 a month for it.After being told that it could be ordered through the mail order department, I was told that it would only cost $110.What a bargain. As I had only been paying $15. Now I am doing without it.
The next lie was being told, again, by "David", that when I go for blood tests they would be at a huge discount.I gave him an example of what the last ones were and what I ended up paying and he said, after tapping on his calculator, that with this plan I would be paying less then half as much.Only later did I find out that he had no way of giving me any idea of what it would be as they are calculated at the time they are done.Never the same.
I was assured that I was getting the best and most expensive plan so I was getting everything. We talked about my pre-existing condition and he said that there would be no waiting period because I was getting the best and most expensive plan!
Only now, after going to my new endocronologist and having blood tests done am I being informed that they are paying for nothing as there is a 12 month waiting period for pre-existing conditions.
These people are nothing but liars. I cannot just get other insurance and now am stuck with this garbage. They do it in such a way that you give up what you have and there you are.
Stay away from NBLA..It is a SCAM..

Updating my experience with NBLA.After sending the 4th credible coverage letter to them I am sooo excited that now my first office visit will be only $75. Normally with insurance it is $45.My second office visit will only be $109.It is normally with insurance $45..I am saving sooo much money. And how wonderful that the blood tests I was told would be less then $100 according to "david's" calculations are going to cost me $350. And last but not least, I have been getting mammograms for 25 years.I have never paid a dime as it was always included in the office visit. This year with the excellent coverage from the NBLA, I am paying about $600. Fortunately I have cancelled with this scam and am back with real and reputable health insurance. The problem is that since I was also lied to about being able to get a letter of credible coverage from the NBLA I now have a 12 month pre exist waiting period.
NBLA stands for Nothing But Liars Association..Stay away !!
