I was checking out my credit report about 3 weeks ago and noticed that 23 entries were made by NCO-MEDCLR, using the same PO Box as NCO Financial...(so who are these people??) These 23 entries are 5-6 supposed charged off accounts, that were reported multiple times, with some company called NES Medical Services as the original creditor.

I have disputed all 23 of these accounts thru the credit reporting agencies and all 23 remain.

After going through all of these NCO rip-off reports, I am beginning to wonder how many different NCO companies are in Philadelphia and have PO Boxes in the SAME AREA CODE. Which address am I suppose to write to and what company name should I use??

I have done web searches on both NCO-MEDCLR and NES Medical Services and nothing has turned up so far. I have also never heard of either company.

I am no sure where to go from here. I would send a letter demanding validation and proof of ALL 23 accounts, yet I am not sure which address to use out of the many they have, nor do I have full account numbers for these supposed accounts.

I am trying to fix my credit, not have someone screw me over.

The debts claimed by this company...REMOVED - Be forewarned, they like to drag your SSN out of you

I disputed everything that NCO claimed I owed. First, I called the company about the claims. None of the account numbers on my credit reports had my name on them with this company. Not sure how my name got tacked onto them either. Needless to say, all 3 agencies deleted the claims from my credit reports.

Be forewarned, they like to drag your SSN out of you...I didn't do that...everyone I talked to asked for it. I told them, "No. I refuse to give it to you. You tell me what my SSN is" Not one person I talked to could do that.

NEVER EVER give out personal information to ANY debt collection agency...

Round 1 with this Company, head on

I called NCO Financial about the accounts on my credit report. Every single person wanted my social. I told every last one of them...NO, YOU TELL ME WHAT IT IS...since you are so inclined to report stuff against me. No one found anything on me and told me that the one account number I did have out of 23 didn't even belong to me...the account owner wasn't even a female. What kind of crap is that??

I didn't give my address or my phone number either. I gave my name and my maiden name and they still told me I had no account with them. I called Experian directly and filed another dispute. Apparently, NCO was using an address I have never used...ever!!!

Needless to say, all 23 accounts are being disputed, yet again!!!

KEEP DISPUTING ..They have a zillion different business names

#4Consumer Suggestion

I had the exact same problem with this company. Or, should i say companies....They have a zillion different business names. They will keep passing the account around to seem as though it is in different hands. It took me 2 years of disputing but i finally got them off. Try not to contact the company directly because they use that against you to claim validation of the debt. The CRA will probaly tell you that the debt is valid the first few tries. Point out to them that all entries are the same company. That can be proven by the same address for the companies. A debt can only be reported once, by the company who is currently collecting on it. The same account cannot be reported twice. With the exception of the original creditor and the current debt collector. Example: if you owed Sears, but never paid and they sent it to a collection agency, Sears can report the original debt and the current collection agency can report it as well. But, if it was transferred again along the way to another collector, the first collection agency must remove their posting of the debt to the CRA's. It takes a while to get everything accomplished and it is very frustrating, but in the end it is obviously very much worth it. After attempting a few times to have it removed by disputing, write a letter to each of the business names they are using to post telling them they are required by law to verify the debt to you. They are required to tell you what service was provided, on what date, to whom at what address, for what fee. You can also request a signed contract for a service, or any other signed document showing as valid proof your agreement to pay and desire for service from original creditor. You will probaly have to write quite a few of those. My experience was lengthy as mentioned, but after following these steps the problem was corrected. I disputed quite a few times. I pointed out that they are all the same company using many different names. They are actually "branches" if you will, of the main company. They are very rude there. After first attempts at disputing didn't work, i called the NCO and asked what proof they have that the bill was mine. Customer service rep replied,"is it on your credit report?" I said, "yes". She said, "well, there's your proof". Obviously that is just rediculous. She was unable to provide me with any information regarding the debt or even any personal information about myself other than the information required to report to a CRA. All you need for that is a name, and address, the name of a business owed and an amount owed, along with some dates as to when money came owed. The CRA told me that. The CRA will also be content to claim the debt is valid if the collector can simply verify your name and a previous address and birthdate. That's why it is important to keep disputing. They will get tired of having to research and NCO will get tired of dealing with the CRA's regarding the matters and they will be removed eventually. After several tries, write to NCO demanding, make sure you write in your letter that you "demand" to be provided with proof of validity of the debt. Signed documents, aggreements, contracts etc., date of request for services or goods, address where service or good was provided. Tell them they are reporting erroneously and that is a violation of law and you have contacted the Attorney General's Office as well as the FTC regarding this matter and are very much so prepared to take any further action necessary if they fail to provide requested information or alternatively remove the erroneous reports from your file. I hope this helps you. I would be interested to see postings of your progress!! Good luck.
