NCO Financial Systems NCO Financial sends bogus colletion letters to innocent people Ripoff Wilmington Delaware
NCO Financial sent us a colletion letter for $95.60 for an alleged past due America Online, Inc. account. We were never a AOL subscriber and AOL confirmed that no account information exists for us.
I googled NCO and found many incidents of others getting similar bills, and history of the many times NCO has had to pay heavy fines for violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Beware this company even if you do have a collection they are handeling, know your rights. They have been knowns to change the dates on old bills to put them in the legal time frame. Just one payment refreshes the stautate of limitations on your bill!
If you get a letter frm NCO, remember there is a lot of advice available on how to deal with them effectivly and not become a victim.
