Its simply this, they sent me a letter telling me they were hired to collect what I owe Sprint PCS. I happen to know utility companies do not hire outside collection agencies or lawyers in most cases to recover a debt. I wish there was a way we could protect our credit files from these predators. I didn't fall into their thieving hands. I never pay any debt unless I have valid proof I owe it. I recieve other letters from collection agencies trying to collect, I report them and discard the letters. Mama didn't raise no fool!

Don is right on this one. Sprint does use outside collections

Most wireless carriers and other utilities outsource collections. Sprint PCS will turn your account over after 90 days delinquent if no successful contact has been made.

Keep in mind that NCO is the largest JUNK DEBT BUYER in the country. You may have the same or similar name to the person who owes the money.

Did you ever have a delinquent Sprint account?
