I purchased a phone from wirefly.com and purchased insurance from NCOA. I LOST my phone at a "bar" and I explained everything to them on my NCOA acct. because they clearly have no way of direct contact on the phone, the number goes straight to a voicemail and no one ever responds to your calls.

So after explaining my situation various times, they requested for a POLICE REPORT, so I gave them a police report for a LOST PHONE. Then I get an email stating that they are sorry to inform me that my request has been denied because A "bar" is considered and "UNSECURED PREMISES" and any wireless unit "LOST" or left there is EXCLUDED from COVERAGE. You have the responsibility for maintaining reasonable care and control.

So I reply back and say You should really update your details on your insurance, make sure your clients understand that they do not have coverage if the phone is lost...at a "bar" and i'm also assuming a "resturant" perhaps? maybe even the gym ? pretty much anything that has a social gathering of any kind?

He also says: As for "Lost" ,"Stolen", "Misplaced", etc, we are unable to decipher what you are talking about.

He obviously does not want to replace my phone because when you lose something, you misplace it and yes it is your responsibility BUT that is why WE PURCHASE INSURANCE. To have coverage for something that happens like this. It shouldn't matter how, where, or when you lose an item, if you are paying coverage then you should be RECEIVING it.
