Complaint Review: NCWC

I purchased an Auto Warranty from NCWC several years ago (contract agreement has been paid in full). I attempted to file claims and have so far been REJECTED on each one! The first claim was where my car broke down (timing belt broke) and had to have it towed to a local repair shop which I was not familiar with (was not near my home). I had no choice but to authorize the repair because I was stuck!! I did not have my NCWC info with me at the time so, after the car was fixed I contact NCWC and explained what had happened. The timing belt was covered under my waqrranty BUT they refused to pay because I did not get "pre-authorization" for the repair first!!

Next, my transmission went out on my car. So to not make the same mistake previously, I had the shop contact NCWC first. NCWC sent a Technician out to the repair facility to examine the car. THEN they tell the manager it is NOT covered because they DO NOT cover Manual Transmissions!! I called NCWC and asked why they would have sold me this policy knowing my car's transmission would not be covered (I could have paid for a sesser covereage). I was told that the enhanced coveragte I purchased covers much more than just transmission. While that may be true, seems like this company will Weezle their way out of paying by Any Means.

I take some of the responsibility because I should have more clearly read the contract. But the Sales Guy assured me Enginer, Power Train, and Transmission was covered and KNOWING my car had a Manual Transmission (they had VIN number of car), he should have told me it was NOT covered but, again, all they want is my MONEY and could care less about customer service!!

In anycase, Buyer Be Ware!! Ask specific questions and Read and Re-Read the contract!! Don't get SCAMMED like I did!!
