On May 5, 2003, I ordered 3 neckties through their website. I paid through PayPal. After a month, there was no delivery, so I emailed them through their customer service form and also called them. Only an answering machine picked up. I called several times that day, hoping a real person would pick up, but that did not happen, so I left a voicemail.

In the following 6 weeks, I could not get them to reply to me through email or phone. And there was no delivery of the goods I paid for. I sent them a very stern warning by email, which prompted a form letter response saying that they would resolve my complaint in 24 hours. That did not happen. They took my money and never contacted me again.

Three days afte receiving that form letter, and after more emails and phone calls, I registered a complaint with the Tulsa Better Business Bureau and PayPal. Unfortunately, after 30 days PayPal will not refund any money on a transaction since they are a 3rd party, so I could not get my money back that way. The Tulsa BBB attempted two times to contact NECKTIES.COM by mail, and both times were unsuccessful. NECKTIES makes a practice of never answering their customer service line with a live person, so it is impossible to get a hold of them unless they want to return your call.

You can still try for that refund. They're just flakes.

I've been to their site. It's not that bad. I don't see them as being crooks, just a little flakey and irresponsible with their book keeping. This is just speculation, but they may not believe you are entitled to a refund. Replying to you would take time and money away from profit, so they just ignore you, and the other hundreds who are requesting communication. This is nothing I can prove as fact.

They have 2 full pages detailing refund information. You are way past their policy deadlines, but I still think you should try for that refund. They're just flakes.

I have contact information. The best way is to WRITE them, by the old fashioned snail mail. Make them sign for that letter, and mail it Certified. In that letter you need to specify a 7 to 10 work day time limit. Make it very clear that automated messages to your email or form letters to you residence DO NOT constitute a reply. Create a Correspondance copy list (cc) stating who will receive copies, like: Illinois State Attorney General Lisa Madigan, your favorite Attorney friend, the Rip Off Report ED,ChicagoBBB, TulsaBBB, and I think you get it.

Don't leave them alone about it. If they claim they sent you a product, insist on seeing evidence. Did you give a signature to a Deliveray person for receiving the product? Do they have receipts? Tell them you want an Inventory slip detailing what items were mailed and to what address.

The address you have posted is a good one. I am resubmitting it to make sure, you still have it:

Neckties.com REFUND DEPARTMENT
Route 1, Box 154A
Eufala, Oklahoma, 74432

Be sure to add Refund department, it could be the wrong section got your correspondance, and is too lazy to run down the hall and give the d**n letter to the right person. :) I have one more address and some phone numbers. You can write and call in tandem.

Neckties.com, B & R Enterprises
P.O. Box 43
Fort Smith, AR, (forgot zip sorry :()

Phones: 1-918-473-7807, 918-452-4228 (FAX), 479-910-3739

They've been around since 1996. An Administrative contact you can address your correspondance to is:
Mr. Rodney Stover. Here's his email: ties@crosstel.net His fax is the 4228 one.

I think you can work this out. They probably get people all the time, claiming not to receive their product. You just have to make it known you situation is genuine.

Hope this helps.
