Complaint Review: Negri Electronic

Negri Electronic Do not believe a word about their unlocked smartphones, they send you a phone allright but it does not work and when you ask their technical guru (Bryan Duncan) for help he just does not respond Internet

Last year I purchased an unlocked Blackberry Bold (9000) from Negri Electronics, since I did not want to deal with the poor quality service and customer support of AT&T.  I paid over $600 for the phone that AT&T would have sold me for $199.  The phone arrived in perfect packaging (with an AT&T logo on it) and as soon as I inserted my T-Mobile Sim cards the phone and the texting functions started to work. 

However, when I tried to register my phone on the Blackberry server it would not let me do it. Thinking that I may not know what I am doing, I gave the phone to the technical staff at my office (a Fortune 500 company) so that they register the phone on the Blackberry server for me.  I was surprised to find out that they could not register the phone on the server either. They had contacted T-Mobile and Blackberry people to solve the issue but they had not been able to help either and finally had told our technical people that they did not know what the problem was and suggested going to AT&T to see if they can help, but AT&T obviously did not want to have anything to do with an unlocked phone which was not on their network.    

 I then tried to see if I could receive Gmail and Yahoo emails and I found out that the phone just did not work for any emails.  I  Finally I contacted Negri Electronic thinking that if anyone can help it should be them.  But I was wrong; Mr. Duncan, the so called guru of Negri Electronics, at first appeared helpful suggesting that I must not be registered on the T-Mobile network and when I started to explain all the saga I had been going through he just stopped responding to me.  I pursued the matter over the past year periodically sending emails to Mr. Duncan so that maybe he can find a solution but it seems that my emails end up in a black hole since I am not getting any response. 



Needless to say that I finally went ahead and bought myself another unlocked Smartphone from Europe and have had no problem in registering it on the network and receiving emails.  It just appears that my Negri Electronics phone was a lemon and they did not help me to fix my problem.  I would never again buy anything from these guys and will tell everyone about their poor after sale customer service and support.
